Inside our bodies
Deep inside the frames of our bodies
There are caverns.
Take one cell
Adjust its measurements, enlarge it
And you will see the vast empty unused spaces.
This is what deafens us
The echo of our anatomy - heartbeats, breaths
Ringing through our hollow molecules.
The din leaps out of us
Calling for answers, a word spoken in our native tongue
We long to be silenced.
